Pippa wows in red lace dress at Sir David Frost’s garden party

On Tuesday night, Pippa attended Sir David Frost’s annual summer party. She looked fabulous in a red lace dress from Temperley London’s diffusion line, Alice by Temperley.

Sir David Frost invited over 300 guests to his party, which was hosted at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.

There are pictures of Pippa mingling with stars, including entertainer Sir Bruce Forsyth. Sir Bruce was at the Princess Cruises “Royal Princess” christening earlier this month – Pippa’s sister Kate is official Godmother to the ship, so I’m sure the pair had plenty to talk about.

Speaking to the MailOnline.com, Sir David Frost discussed how he knows Pippa:

“We met her before the wedding and she has since been to dinner at our house in Chelsea, so she is a friend in that sense.

“She is a lovely young women, very witty and can hold her own in all kinds of conversation. She has taken the enormous interest in her very much in her stride.”

Pippa wore the Alice by Temperley Alberto dress. The dress did cost £445, but is now half price in their summer sale. She paired her dress with a pair of nude wedges from Ash, a matching gold and creme clutch bag and a gold bracelet.

The Ash wedges:

Pippa Middleton Ash Wedges

The Ash Jade wedge sandals did originally cost £135, but they’re currently reduced to £67.50 on Ash’s website.

The company describe the wedge sandal in the following way:

Ash Jade Chamois Suede Wedge Sandals. Heel height measures approximately 10cm/ 3.8″. Simple and elegant thesewedge sandals are a sophisticated choice, perfect for a day at the office or a city break in the sun. The contrasting chamois suede and woven heel look fab with a colour block pencil skirt or shift dress.

If you like the Ash wedge, it is available in a number of different colours from Spartoo, Zalando, The Dressing Room Retail Ltd and Sarenza. You can shop using the widget below:

The Alice by Temperley Alberto dress is described on the Temperley London website as having “a slim fitting silhouette and clean line”. Here’s what else they say about the red lace dress:

“ the ALICE by Temperley Alberto Dress is a simple and elegant occasion dress. Made of a robust cotton lace known as “guipure” designed exclusively by Temperley, the dress is attached at the neck to a sheer “barely there” chiffon panel. It unfastens with a central back zip.”

The Alberto dress comes in a number of colourways, and in a skirt style too, as you can see in the widget below:

Our Good friend Michelle F thinks Pippa’s gold and creme clutch bag is Kate Spade’s “Beige Queen of the Nile Clutch”. We need to find better photos from the event before confirming this!

>> Don’t miss out on Pippa Middleton’s new Spectator diary today – a quote from her diary:

Pimm’s has become so identified with the tennis ‘brand’ that it’s a cliché — but that doesn’t stop it from being absolutely delicious, essential drinking in fact. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy a Pimm’s or three when I’m watching a game. Only pints will do, frankly, since half the glass is ice anyway. (For tips on how to make ice, may I refer you to my book Celebrate?)

  1. lovely dress. I love her blue dress she wore to wimbledon as well. Did not like her pink frock she wore grocery shopping though.

  2. Pippa is above average. She has such a fun style and an enviable athletic body. I have been going to the gym lately to get her gorgeous legs. I have much respect for Pippa because she always appears graceful and handles the negative comments and jeers from others, which actually reflects so poorly upon those who are making the comments. Pippa’s responsibilities are far different than her sister’s and they both are handling their duties spectacularly. I only wish people would stop criticizing Pippa so nastily. She seems to be a hard worker and a social butterfly and I wish I could balance both so fabulously. The photo of her in the pink dress and sweater by Cashmere by Tania the other day was not flattering, but she was carrying groceries and a handbag. That’s a difficult thing to do with jeans and a t-shirt on. I think she was wearing a bra (many have commented that she didn’t have one on) and it was just a bad moment in which she didn’t have her posture about her, so she looked a little askew. But I think she is doing a great job at styling herself and I love it! Retail sales should be analyzed for the “Pippa Effect” because when I go to buy something she’s worn, it’s sold out like that (snap for effect!).

Pippa looked nice yesterday in a white frock at the party with David Cameron but she looked smashing today at Wimbledon with her boyfriend and very much in love.
