Pippa jokes about being a DIY bride in new column & ID update on her grey cableknit sweater

Pippa Middleton writes a bi-weekly column on “Sport and Social” for the Telegraph newspaper’s lifestyle pages. Her latest column focuses on “getting up with the larks” to pick the best flower bouquets at New Covent Garden Flower Market.

To close the article, Pippa wrote about possibly being a “DIY bride” when her time comes to walk up the aisle. This naturally attracted lots of media attention yesterday!

Miss Middleton also poked fun at herself in the article once again, something we’re becoming accustomed to with her writing – she certainly isn’t scared of laughing along with her critics.

The Telegraph also published one of Pippa’s recipe: “Pippa Middleton’s Scottish Special: Venison and Kidney Pie Recipe.”  So check that out too!

Overall, the article was a lovely read on a Saturday morning, and I really enjoyed looking over the photo gallery accompanying the article. In the cheery and colourful pictures, Pippa is wearing a pair of burgundy trousers (Michelle from Perth Fashion notes they could be corduroys, or this velvet pair from J Brand.) with a grey cable knit jumper and a patterned burgundy scarf.

Pippa’s grey sweater ID:

After spending a good chunk of time looking for Pippa’s sweater yesterday morning, the wonderful Natascia from Pippa Middleton’s Style found an ID: the Pure Collection Curved Hem Cable Sweater in heather grey.

Pure Collection describe the sweater as:

“A textured, chunky cable knit offers everyday warmth and style. Made from a premium blend of luxurious lambswool and cashmere, with a wide crew neck, raglan long sleeves, curved hem, loose fitting shape and all-over cable texture design.”

The sweater is made from 70% lambswool and 30% cashmere. It is also available in a pinky “Pale Stone” colour.

Finally, Pippa is wearing her Plimsoll shoes in grey.  If we find an ID for Pippa’s scarf, we’ll update the blog later!

  1. I love this article, and her Telegraph article. She really does remind me of a beginning Martha Stewart, party planning, floral arranging, cooking… She always inspires me to be more creative, and makes me want to cook and decorate and throw parties. Love her!

  2. Mary Zech says:

I noticed that she’s not wearing her famous signet ring, or any other rings in the photos. I think it’s the first time I’ve seen her without them.

  3. This is a lovely sweater or jumper, depending where you live. I’d love to see Pippa’s closet, because I rarely ever see her wear the same thing twice.

  4. Do you know if it’s the same one she’s wearing on Page 34 in her “Celebrate” book?

  5. great post! thank you. I love the shot with her and the lavender
