Pippa’s book promotion: second signing & more tidbits of news {part one}
Pippa wore her navy blue Fay coat (with the collar removed), a pair of Aquatalia suede boots (more on those below) and she carried her the black croc version of her namesake handbag. Let’s take a look:

As mentioned above, Pippa’s boots are by Aquatalia. They’re known as the Orion style, but the suede version Pippa’s wearing is exclusive to Russell and Bromley (who are launching their e-store later this year) and they’re called the “Orchid-Dry.”
Here you can see similar items to Pippa’s for sale online if you want to steal her style:
Updates and tidbits of news:
If you’ve been on my Facebook page you might have noticed I have pushed out a flurry of updates in the last couple of days. I’m going to summerize all of the updates across my next two blog posts, so here’s part one. Remember to come back and read part two tomorrow. You can actually subscribe to receive the next blog post via email as soon as I hit publish – do so here:
Pippa’s pre-book launch night out:
New pictures of Pippa emerged from the night before Pippa’s book launch party. Miss Middleton wore a pair of flourescent green jeans, thought to be the Brooke Street Coloured Jeans by Kate Spade and her black leather Whistles jacket. She carried a gold snakeskin print clutch bag from Milli Millu, known as “The Parisian.” Pippa finished her outfit off with a pair of black suede pumps by Emmy Shoes and the earrings shown below (center).
Earrings:
Lots of new IDs on Pippa’s earrings at the moment! Right, let’s start with the green pair shown below, which Pippa wore with the outfit described above. You can see a close up of Pippa wearing these earrings here. They’re from Johanna Simmonds’ contemporary jewellery boutique in London.
Two of the three pairs (yes three pairs) Pippa wore to her book launch last night were from the same boutique. . See Pippa wearing those here and here:

The first pair of earrings Pippa wore to her book launch (consisting of a dark purple ball suspended on a small gold hoop) have not yet been IDd. Big thank you to Anna and friends from My Small Obsessions today for those IDs.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Anna also managed to identify a FOURTH pair of black and silver earrings (below) that Pippa wore earlier this year too. (Click here to see Pippa wearing these). These are from Luxe Fashion Jewellery, an online boutique based in Oxfordshire.
Modalu London:
Right onto the next tidbit of news! Modalu London have some fab offerings for us Pippa fans today: firstly a Twitter competition for you to enter (see here) and an annoucnement about the Pippa bag in shark! They’re re-releasing this iconic bag with the strap for a limited time only:
Pippa wears another Project D dress:
Since the pictures of Pippa’s Celebrate were released to the press, and since the book was launched, I’ve been asked about one dress in particular more than others. The sparkly silver sequin dress that Pippa wears on the front cover: (see below, right)

With thanks to Michelle F, I now have an ID to share with you:

Pippa is wearing the Project D silver sequin ‘Claudia’ dress. The dress was on sale for £158 on My Wardrobe recently and The Dressing Room sold it reduced down to just just £99! It appears to be sold out almost everywhere. The dress was also released in a gunmetal colour.
…and that’s enough for now. Tomorrow I’ll publish the rest of our Pippa-related tidbits, along with news of any sightings of Pippa. Can’t wait until then? Head on over to the Facebook page now!
Thank you credits: Michelle, Nikki, Anna, Ashley Marie.
Pippa Celebrated book launch with FOUR changes of outfit

To the stock signing at Foyles, (see above, left) Pippa wore the Paper London Vespa tunic dress. The £395 dress features an A-line design, round neck, long sleeves and a funky colour-block patchwork design in contrasting fabrics:
Later, Pippa arrived at the Daunt books event wearing a deep purple dress by Roksanda Ilincic, a black croc print Modalu handbag and a matching pair of black patent pumps (thought to be by Jimmy Choo). With her hair swept up and wearing matching purple earrings, Pippa looked extremely glamorous! We can’t publish these pictures (don’t ask – to do with copyright and intellectual property) but you can view Pippa in purple by clicking here.
Pippa’s dress is a dark plum version of Roksanda Ilincic’s “Ayden” wool-crepe dress, which features elegant folds near the neckline. It retails at £815 on Net-a-Porter’s website:
Pippa quickly changed before hosting a Halloween themed party for a group of children. Many of the ideas from the pages of Pippas’s book came alive in the book store: children ate doughnuts suspended from the roof and tucked into delicious-looking autumnal treats. There was one hairy moment when Pippa sat taking part in crafts with the children, discussing their likes and dislikes. Miss Middleton really didn’t know where to put her face when one girl said she hates princesses! Ha!
As you may have guessed, Pippa allowed press and cameras to film the party, I’m assuming for a news story on her new book release. I’ve asked a few journalists when this will be aired – so I’ll keep you updated.
Here we have some photographs from @SkyNewsRoyal from Twitter:

You can see some clearer pictures of Pippa here.
For the pre-party, Pippa wore a black sparkling party dress by one of her go-to designers Markus Lupfer. The $448 Brocade Bodice Dress is cut from a light wool and silk mix fabric and it features a metallic, sequin brocade-inspired design placed on top of the body-con dress:
The green version (above left) that Pippa wore is now sold out. But a purple version (above right) is still available for the same price from Net-A-Porter.
With the dress Pippa wore a pair of black boots, which appear to be made by Aquatalia – but at the moment it’s too hard to tell!
After the kids pre-party, Pippa changed yet again, her third outfit was by Stella McCartney. The wonderful Anita Singh from The Telegraph informs us that Pippa wore separates from the Autumn Winter 2012 collection: a wool top and skirt. The outfit does look like a dress, and indeed Stella McCartney has a dress that looks very similar in her collection.
Here’s a closer look at the front and back of the outfit:

By this point, Pippa swapped earrings again and changed into a pair of suede heels by Emmy Shoes. She was also spotted carrying a black textured clutch bag from Tabitha London.
And now for some added Pippa-wonderfulness, just because I can! Pippa giving interviews to the press at the book launch party:

Pippa’s book ‘Celebrate’ hits the shelves tomorrow – journalists get preview copies to review

The reception of Pippa’s new book has been somewhat mixed, with the Daily Mail’s Rebecca English summing the reviews up nicely:
“Some [have described] it as a romp through the blindingly obvious and others accusing her of blatantly cashing in on her royal connections.
Her supporters, however, have described it as charming and well put together.”
At first glance, after reading the tips offered in The Mail on Sunday’s You magazine preview, I would be inclined to agree with the former points in Rebecca English’s quote: for example, Pippa tells us to pour hot drinks for picnics into “mugs or paper cups” from flasks. There are more quotes like these available on journalist @Anitathetweeter’s Twitter feed too, and they do make you roll your eyes a little (sorry Pippa!)
https://twitter.com/anitathetweeter/status/261149532442722304
But let’s give poor old Pippa a chance here! You could argue that all of these quotes are taken out of context and these tidbits aren’t given as advice, but rather, Pip is trying to set the scene and inspire the reader by narrating these little (usually insignificant) events. Perhaps the crafts and recipes will be the focal points of the book, in which case, the proof be in the pudding (literally). I will reserve judgement until my copy arrives!
In amongst the glossy pictures of both Pippa and the treats she’s cooked up for us to look at, Celebrate does contain fractions of information about early life with the Middletons, perhaps one of the reasons the book has already made a dent on Amazon’s best sellers list, despite the fact it’s still only available on pre-order. In the USA, Celebrate is currently #137 in the Books category on Amazon.com’s best sellers list. It’s rated up at #2 in books > crafts, hobbies & home > entertaining. In the UK the book is slightly more popular: it is currently ranked #79 in books and up at #1 in books > food & drink > entertaining and special occasions! Go Pippa!
I’m certainly still looking forward to receiving my copy of Celebrate, even if the information contained within the book is a little lacking or obvious. I am excited to read about the antics the Middletons got up to as children (e.g. the little stories about how the three giggling siblings apparently carried a tray up to parents for breakfast as a surprise), and of course, I’ll be trying to work out what Pippa’s wearing in every single photograph (naturally).

Will Pippa be holding a party to Celebrate the release of her new book?
It has been reported that Pippa will be holding a small party for friends and family only (no media) tomorrow to officially launch her book. You can read the exclusive details here. It has been said that sister Kate currently has no plans to attend the event, but may reconsider joining the party to support her sister. Regardless, we’re hoping for photographs before the event!
Appearances, signings & two MORE books for Pippa?
Also in this article, there is reference to Pippa being contracted to write two more books for Penguin (one reportedly about budget weddings). We’re also told that Pippa should make some guest appearances for Penguin AND carry out a stock signing of a limited number of books, which will then be distributed to bookstores. (Oh to get my hands on a signed copy of Celebrate – that would be SO COOL!) Fingers crossed this is all true!
My review:
As I mentioned at the top of this article, my copy of Celebrate should arrive sometime at the end of this week. I’ll have a full review up as soon as possible! My good friend Trisha is also on hand next week to help me compare the US and UK versions. At the moment we know both editions have a different cover, but I’d be interested to spot other distinctions in the text too!
It’s question time: Have you already pre-ordered Pippa’s book? Will you be buying it based on these reviews, or would you prefer just to flick through it next time you’re in Barnes and Noble or Waterstones? Would you travel over to a local bookstore if Pippa were to make an appearance? Let me know in the comments!
Preview Pippa’s perfect party book in The Mail on Sunday
I thought I’d give you a quick overview of the supplement in case you were thinking if heading out to buy it later, if you missed buying it before the shops closed or if wasn’t available to buy where you live.
Here’s a look at the magazine with the paper:

About the supplement:
The supplement is a 24-page ‘pull out section’ in The Daily Mail’s You magazine. This is part one of two specials, focusing on halloween and bonfire night ideas. Next week’s supplement will include some ideas for sunday lunch, supper and traditional Highland tea.
The supplement starts with a foreword from Pippa, which I believe is extracted from her book. You can actually read this on The Daily Mail’s website here. In the foreword Pippa acknowledges how she has become a household name due to her sister, brother-in-law and her bottom! She writes plenty about how she finds it all a bit strange, but she is thankful that the ‘fame’ has led to the opportunity to publish her own party book:
It’s a bit startling to achieve global recognition (if that’s the right word) before the age of thirty, on account of your sister, your brother-in-law and your bottom.
One day, I might be able to make sense of this. In the meantime, I think it’s fair to say that it has its upside and its downside. I certainly have opportunities many can only dream of, but in most ways I’m a typical girl in her twenties trying to forge a career and represent herself in what can sometimes seem rather strange circumstances.’
I am by nature an optimist, so I tend to concentrate on the advantages. One of the most attractive has been the chance to publish Celebrate.
Just this little glimpse into Pippa’s thoughts is enough to make me excited about the book: I suspect it might be full of little tidbits about her life for us obsessive fans!

Stand out ideas:
It’s safe to say I love a lot of Pippa’s party ideas. On the first page there is a little pumpkin studded with little “ghost” lollypops and think it’s a very clever idea. It’s cheap, simple and really fun to make. I also loved the butternut squashes painted with glitter – another really simple litte idea that I’d never have thought of. They make a creative and effective centerpiece for the table. Finally, the bean-stuffed peppers recipe looks delicious: I’ll be making those next week for dinner. Yum!
Inner page: creepy cocktail recipes, Halloween themed games and the ‘doughnut tree’ (which looks awesome!)
Conclusion:
The magazine supplement makes me really excited about Pippa’s book, which looks like it’ll be bursting with tips. I think I’m going to be quite impressed if this is anything to go by! I really like easy, cheap and quick-to-implement ideas and it appears that Pippa’s book will tick all of those boxes if this magazine preview is anything to go by!
I’ll be reviewing next week’s supplement too, so check back then!

Pippa attends the US Open wearing a stunning yellow dress
Here’s a look at Pippa as she made her way out of the venue, after watching Andy Murray play to victory in the men’s quarter finals:

The birthday girl looked as if she had enjoyed some pre-birthday pampering in preparation for the day; her glossy hair looked stylishly curled, her nails were painted red and she sported a glowing tan.
Pippa wore her Russell and Bramley Cocoa Pop wedges and her white and straw Kate Spade “Nadine” handbag, both of which we’ve seen her wearing on numerous occasions during her trip to The Big Apple.

During the day, Pippa was also presented with a birthday cake to mark her 29th birthday by the US Open organisation at the US Open Tennis Center.
Here’s another look at Pippa watching the tennis, perhaps during a tense moment on the court:
